Explorer's learning academy was/is the complete opposite for us. Huge yard - amazing for kids to be outside exploring, running around and testing their own abilities. The educators are honestly beautiful, and all so lovely. Special credit to Sam who really brought my son out of his shell! I noticed a big change in him as soon as he started at explorer's. He made friends, brought home art and craft "masterpieces", brought home a lot more sand, dirt, bark and grass (means he had fun!), but also came home happily telling me about his day! I wholeheartedly believe that Explorer's assisted in his transition to kindy greatly, and I'm so relieved and glad that we made the decision to move them to this centre.
Our family appreciate the girls at Explorer's so much, and while there have been some staff that have left (as would all other centres) my kids have taken no time in adjusting to a new educator here and there, nor has it affected their happiness and eagerness to attend. My daughter's favourite tends to rotate between many educators, which tells me she's fond of more than just a few of the girls. Shout out to Kasey, Simone and Cristina for loving on my sensitive princess of a baby girl and making her ease into the centre without an issue in the beginning. I'm confident that when Baby #3 is ready to start, he will be well looked after and adored also!
I was quite nervous leaving my daughter for the first time at 4 years old, but all the staff were very welcoming, warm and just really lovely. Highly recommended! Wouldn't go anywhere else!
The teachers are so lovely, and so passionate about the work they are doing with these little minds. We only have 1 year left now before big school and I am excited to see the new things Scarlett will pick up as a ‘Schoolie’ next year. My kid adores her teachers. Talks about how great they are all the time.
She will really miss coming here when she graduates. Another thing I really appreciate about these wonderful ladies is that they want to send my girl out into the world completely prepared for what comes next. They are dedicated to making sure these kids are equipped to handle the transition to ‘big school’ so they will not just ‘be fine’ at school but excel! Thanks again Explorers for looking after my Scarlett. Highly recommend.

When families are involved, children feel more supported, valued, and confident in their development. In everyday practice, we engage with families through regular face to face updates, through doccumentaion of laerning and daily experiences, parent-teacher meetings, and involvement in classroom activities. For example, parents may share cultural traditions or contribute to storytelling sessions, share family recipes, bring in animals of interest to share, enriching the children’s learning experience. This collaboration also allows us to better understand each child’s unique needs and interests, ensuring we provide personalised, meaningful experiences. Ultimately, strong family partnerships create a holistic approach to a child’s education, enhancing their overall well-being and success.

At Explorers Learning Academy, we proudly follow the Munch & Move government program as part of our daily routine. This initiative promotes healthy eating and physical activity in early childhood settings. We provide a Munch & Move-approved menu, offering nutritious meals and snacks that support children’s growth and development.
Children are involved in healthy cooking activities, helping them explore ingredients, try new foods, and learn essential life skills. We have regular conversations about “everyday foods” (healthy options) and “sometimes foods”, helping children make informed choices about what they eat.
By teaching the importance of healthy eating from a young age, we lay the foundation for lifelong healthy habits. Munch & Move also supports children’s physical development, concentration, and overall wellbeing. Through this program, we encourage children to take care of their bodies and make positive choices every day in a fun, engaging way.

🌿 Yarning Circles & Song Groups in the Garden 🌿
Today our children enjoyed a beautiful yarning circle and song group experience in the garden with Miss Brooke.
Using instruments, clapping sticks, rhythm, and storytelling, the children connected with each other, shared ideas, and engaged in meaningful group learning. These moments help build confidence, communication skills, and a strong sense of belonging within our outdoor environment.
We love seeing the way our little learners come together, listen, and create as a community.

On Wednesday our children enjoyed a fun, interactive and educational visit from the Living Safely With Dogs NSW Program! This wonderful program teaches young children how to understand dog behaviour, approach animals safely, and build confidence around dogs in everyday environments.
Through stories, demonstrations and hands-on learning, the children explored:
✨ How to read a dog’s body language
✨ When it’s safe – and not safe – to pat a dog
✨ How to behave around dogs at home, in the park or out in the community
✨ How to care for animals with kindness and respect
The children absolutely loved today’s visit and were engaged from start to finish. These important lessons support their wellbeing, confidence and understanding of safety – both within our centre and out in the wider world.
Thank you to the Living Safely With Dogs team for such a valuable experience!

Our Little Joeys had the BEST morning exploring, creating and getting their hands messy with our educators!
Today we programmed a construction-themed playdough experience, inspired by the children’s recent love for trucks, builders and all things “work site”! Together, the children helped make the playdough completely from scratch measuring, pouring and mixing like little chefs. They chose a grey colour to resemble real concrete, and they were SO proud of their creation!
Once our playdough “concrete” was ready, the children spent the morning building roads, construction sites and spaces for their trucks to explore. There was so much imagination, teamwork and joy happening at every table.
Why playdough play is amazing in early childhood:
• Strengthens fine-motor skills and hand muscles
• Encourages creativity, imagination and storytelling
• Supports language development through conversation
• Builds early math and science concepts through measuring, counting and mixing
• Offers calming sensory input that helps children regulate
We love following the children’s interests and turning them into meaningful learning experiences.
