Explorer's learning academy was/is the complete opposite for us. Huge yard - amazing for kids to be outside exploring, running around and testing their own abilities. The educators are honestly beautiful, and all so lovely. Special credit to Sam who really brought my son out of his shell! I noticed a big change in him as soon as he started at explorer's. He made friends, brought home art and craft "masterpieces", brought home a lot more sand, dirt, bark and grass (means he had fun!), but also came home happily telling me about his day! I wholeheartedly believe that Explorer's assisted in his transition to kindy greatly, and I'm so relieved and glad that we made the decision to move them to this centre.
Our family appreciate the girls at Explorer's so much, and while there have been some staff that have left (as would all other centres) my kids have taken no time in adjusting to a new educator here and there, nor has it affected their happiness and eagerness to attend. My daughter's favourite tends to rotate between many educators, which tells me she's fond of more than just a few of the girls. Shout out to Kasey, Simone and Cristina for loving on my sensitive princess of a baby girl and making her ease into the centre without an issue in the beginning. I'm confident that when Baby #3 is ready to start, he will be well looked after and adored also!
I was quite nervous leaving my daughter for the first time at 4 years old, but all the staff were very welcoming, warm and just really lovely. Highly recommended! Wouldn't go anywhere else!
The teachers are so lovely, and so passionate about the work they are doing with these little minds. We only have 1 year left now before big school and I am excited to see the new things Scarlett will pick up as a ‘Schoolie’ next year. My kid adores her teachers. Talks about how great they are all the time.
She will really miss coming here when she graduates. Another thing I really appreciate about these wonderful ladies is that they want to send my girl out into the world completely prepared for what comes next. They are dedicated to making sure these kids are equipped to handle the transition to ‘big school’ so they will not just ‘be fine’ at school but excel! Thanks again Explorers for looking after my Scarlett. Highly recommend.

At Explorers Learning Academy, we proudly follow the Munch & Move government program as part of our daily routine. This initiative promotes healthy eating and physical activity in early childhood settings. We provide a Munch & Move-approved menu, offering nutritious meals and snacks that support children’s growth and development.
Children are involved in healthy cooking activities, helping them explore ingredients, try new foods, and learn essential life skills. We have regular conversations about “everyday foods” (healthy options) and “sometimes foods”, helping children make informed choices about what they eat.
By teaching the importance of healthy eating from a young age, we lay the foundation for lifelong healthy habits. Munch & Move also supports children’s physical development, concentration, and overall wellbeing. Through this program, we encourage children to take care of their bodies and make positive choices every day in a fun, engaging way.

Grandparents Day
We love celebrating grandparents here at Explorers and the important relationships they have with their grandchildren. These relationships can improve their own mental and physical health and provide a greater sense of purpose and happiness. Ultimately, these intergenerational bonds are linked to reduced emotional difficulties in children and increased life satisfaction for both grandparents and grandchildren. Thank you to the grandparents that were able to come and celebrate with us, what a fun day.

Remembrance Day 2025
Over the past week, the children have been learning about the importance of Remembrance Day through meaningful discussions and creative experiences. Together, they created beautiful poppies, cards, and wreaths to honor the brave men and women who have served our country.
Today, Miss Taryn and Miss Brooke proudly delivered the children’s wreath to the Ingleburn RSL Club, paying tribute to our war heroes and their families.
We remember their courage, their sacrifice, and the legacy of peace they have left for us all.

Spooky fun and magical learning have filled the rooms at Explorers Learning Academy this week!
Our little explorers have been counting eyeballs in bubbling potions, mixing mysterious playdough brews, and creating spooky art that has brought out their creativity and imagination! From sensory cauldrons and ghostly beanbag tosses to pumpkin crafts and trick-or-treat games, every moment has been filled with laughter, curiosity, and a little bit of Halloween magic.
We’ve loved seeing our children engage in hands-on learning through play developing fine motor skills, problem-solving, social connections, and confidence along the way.

Happy Diwali – The Festival of Lights!
What a bright and joy-filled day we’ve had celebrating Diwali at Explorers! Our centre sparkled with colour and excitement as children and educators dressed in vibrant traditional outfits, helped create a large outdoor rangoli, and explored Indian-inspired cooking experiences that filled the air with delicious aromas.
Through these hands-on experiences, our Explorers learned about the meaning of Diwali a time to celebrate light, love, family, and new beginnings.
These shared cultural celebrations help children develop respect for diversity, a sense of belonging, and an appreciation for how different communities express joy around the world.

Our Little Joeys had the BEST morning exploring, creating and getting their hands messy with our educators!
Today we programmed a construction-themed playdough experience, inspired by the children’s recent love for trucks, builders and all things “work site”! Together, the children helped make the playdough completely from scratch measuring, pouring and mixing like little chefs. They chose a grey colour to resemble real concrete, and they were SO proud of their creation!
Once our playdough “concrete” was ready, the children spent the morning building roads, construction sites and spaces for their trucks to explore. There was so much imagination, teamwork and joy happening at every table.
Why playdough play is amazing in early childhood:
• Strengthens fine-motor skills and hand muscles
• Encourages creativity, imagination and storytelling
• Supports language development through conversation
• Builds early math and science concepts through measuring, counting and mixing
• Offers calming sensory input that helps children regulate
We love following the children’s interests and turning them into meaningful learning experiences.

Sensory play
At Explorers Learning Academy we value and recognise the importance of Sensory exploration and play. When children explore through touch, sound, sight, taste, and smell, they are actually building the foundations for lifelong learning. Sensory experiences help little ones; develop fine and gross motor skills, boost brain development, enhance language skill, support emotional regulation, encourage social skills. From squishing playdough to exploring water tubs or feeling the crunch of leaves outside, sensory play invites children to learn with their whole selves. It’s fun, purposeful, and essential in our Early Learning Centre!

Explorers Christmas Toy Drive – Supporting Randwick Ronald McDonald House.
Christmas is just around the corner, and we’re excited to spread some festive joy throughout our beautiful community! This year, Explorers Learning Academy is proudly supporting the Ronald McDonald House at Randwick with our Christmas Toy Drive.
Ronald McDonald House provides a home away from home for families whose children are receiving treatment at the Sydney Children’s Hospital. They offer safe accommodation, warm meals, emotional support and a comforting place to stay during incredibly challenging times. Their kindness and care help families stay close together when it matters most.
We would love our community to join us in giving back and brightening the Christmas season for these families. If you would like to help, please donate a wrapped Christmas present. On the outside, simply add:
