Why Choose Explorers
At Explorers we are committed to working in partnership with familes and the community to provide positive learning outcomes for all children in our care.
Our team of experienced long term educators are committed to provide a safe, nurturing, stimulating and age appropriate learning environment. Our cook prepares fresh, nutritious meals daily, ensuring meals are not only nourishing but also a social occasion where children can relax and enjoy good food with their friends.
Play based learning designed for growth
We adopt a play-based approach to learning aimed at building emotional confidence, social connectivity, physical health and development. We believe in the power of outdoor play and hands on experiences to engage young learners and help them build the foundational skills they need for future success. Our School Readiness program prepares children for their transition to primary school with a focus on emotional resilience, problem solving and early literacy.
Our Educators are committed to supporting confident and involved learners
Think of a child’s learning journey like building a house. The early years are the time that the foundations are being laid. At Explorers we work to equip children from a young age to build resilience, to build confidence, have persistence to master new skills and manage emotions in their interactions with others. When children learn social skills in the early years through play, they have built the skills to be a good friend in the playground, setting themselves up for success in the classrooms of the future.
To be a successful learner children need to problem solve. At Explorers the children participate in lots of problem-solving activities from puzzles, to building towers to finding out facts in project work, to designing their own dinosaur houses and more!
Our preschoolers enjoy utilizing Jolly Phonics to learn the sounds that letters make (phonetic awareness) which sets the foundations for successful readers. Doing activities that relate to the sound, singing the songs, reading stories and practicing the shape of letters in fun ways makes early reading skills fun for the children.
Our interactive White boards provide learning apps to support our school readiness programs and to allow children to research their projects and develop the basics in safe use of digital technology.
